She was raised in a Christ-led home and followed biblical teachings until her early adult years at Free Gospel Deliverance Temple. Currently, she is an active member at First Baptist Church of District Heights in District Heights, Maryland.
Nina is widely known for her melodic voice---on and off stage. Her vocal ability has allowed her to share platforms with major recording artists. Nina has written and arranged songs for books and plays, ministered in song at major events and conferences, interviewed on Internet and radio programs, and performed on cruise ships. Nina sang on the Reach Project, “Reaching the Nations” recording; was a recipient of the Excellence in Christian Music Award and Prayze Factor People’s Choice Award; guest artist on “Bobby Jones Presents”, and; toured nationally and internationally. Nina's recording projects include: “Nina … Still Giving Him Praise,” “Break Free Nina,” “Lord, Why is There So Much Pain in the Church,” “Nuggets of Gold CD featuring the single “I Am” and, single “All the Way with Jesus.” However, Nina is not just a singer, songwriter, and actress, but a WORSHIPPER.
Nina is also a servant leader.
A giver at heart, Nina's regular community activities include, but are not limited to ministering and performing at senior nursing and rehabilitation facilities; preparing meals at the Ronald McDonald House; and preparing and distributing care packages to the homeless. Annually, Nina partners with the Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign to collect and distribute toys to children who are less fortunate. She also empowers, encourages, and inspires women and girls of all ages.
In 2021, Nina stepped out on faith and accepted a bigger assignment, NCMinistries, Inc. (NCM). NCM is a Christian-based, 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization that is on a mission to provide empowerment and inspirational programs and activities for women in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area who often feel purposeless and stalled. NCM's signature program, Women of Faith supports and encourages women through various empowerment activities based on biblical principles. Nina says, “I just want to be a willing vessel God can use. I say YES to His will and YES to His way.”
Although Nina serves the community with passion and dedication, she stands firm that ministry for her starts and ends at home.
Nina is happily married to her husband, Carl, for 40 years. Together, they are parents to four adult children, and grandparents to five. Nina is also a proud daughter, sister, and auntie. Nina takes her role as "ROLE MODEL," very seriously. She says, "It is imperative that my family sees Christ operating in me. Lifestyle evangelism is real."
