Don't Miscarry While in the Birthing Room

About the Event

Tanya Latice Thompson, a proud native of Washington, DC, currently resides in her hometown. She is a loving mother to two children, Donald Lee and Samaria Nayshell, and cherishes her four grandchildren: Zaylen, Zoie, DeMari, and Zariah. Additionally, she is blessed to have ten godchildren.

In 2011, Tanya embarked on her spiritual journey, enrolling in two discipleship programs, Queen Esther (QE) and Devon Discipleship for Sisters (DDS), at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden. On June 29, 2012, she accepted the call to ministry, delivering her aunt's eulogy and unknowingly delivering her trial sermon, as revealed by her former pastor.

In 2013, she officially entered the ministry of intercession and in 2014, she founded Empowering God's Precious Daughters, answering the call as a spiritual midwife to support women through prayer, coaching, and mentoring, guiding them toward fulfilling their purpose. June 2020 marked the launch of her mentorship program, Women of Power and Purpose, and the introduction of "Encouraging Moments with Shea" on Facebook, where she shares unadulterated truths from the Word of God, guided by her belief in Luke 1:45.

In October 2021, Tanya began her journey to become a certified Spiritual Midwife, graduating in June 2022, and furthered her education, graduating in June 2023 as an Apostolic Spiritual Midwife. Additionally, she embarked on the path to become an ordained minister in August 2021, obtaining her license and commission in October 2022.

In 2016, Tanya made a significant career change, resigning from her position as lieutenant of the Metro Transit Special Police Department to pursue her passion for the beauty industry. By February 2017, she graduated as salutatorian from the Aveda Institute in Washington, DC, specializing in esthetics and esthiology, focusing on the study of skin. By July 2017, she obtained her license as an esthetician and joined Massage Envy, where she excelled as their top trainer and was honored as Esthetician of the Year in 2018.
